For Creative Window Designs, family is more than part of our history. It has shaped the way we work, the way we treat people, and the standard of care we bring into every home.
Our story spans three generations and more than 50 years in the window treatment industry. Through Creative Window Designs and our parent company, Beach Drapery, our family has built a business rooted in craftsmanship, personal service, and relationships that last.
Today, as a third-generation owner, I have the privilege of carrying those values forward.
The Lessons Passed Down
Growing up in a family business means learning lessons long before you realize they are lessons. I watched my family build relationships with clients, designers, vendors, and employees. I learned that craftsmanship matters. Details matter. Following through matters. And the way you treat people matters just as much as the finished product.
Those principles continue to guide Creative Window Designs today.
Our industry has changed considerably over the years. Products have evolved. Technology and motorization have transformed what window treatments can do. Design preferences continue to change. But some things should remain the same. We still believe in taking the time to understand a client’s needs. We still believe in doing quality work. And we still believe a relationship should continue long after an installation is complete.
The People Behind Every Project
Window treatments are incredibly detailed. Behind a finished room are measurements, material selections, fabrication, hardware, scheduling, installation, and dozens of small decisions that most people will never see. Behind all of those details are people. Our team brings decades of experience to that process, from the first conversation through installation and beyond. Through Beach Drapery, we also operate our own custom drapery workroom, giving our team direct involvement in the craftsmanship behind many of the treatments we create. That human element matters to us.
Whether we are working directly with a homeowner or alongside an interior designer, we want people to know who they are working with and feel confident that someone is paying attention to the details.
Treating Clients Like Family
When someone invites us into their home, there is a level of trust involved. We may be there to solve a window, but we are also stepping into a very personal space.
It is where mornings begin and families come together at the end of the day. It is where holidays are celebrated, friends gather, children grow up, and ordinary moments eventually become some of our favorite memories. Understanding how people actually live in a space has always been an important part of our approach to design. A beautiful window treatment should complement the room, but it should also make that room more comfortable to live in. It might soften the afternoon light in the family room, provide privacy at night, make a bedroom more restful, or frame a view everyone gathers around. Those details become part of daily life.

Over three generations, our family has watched trends change, technology advance, and our business grow. But our purpose has remained remarkably consistent: take care of people, create beautiful work, and build relationships that last. We are grateful for the clients who have trusted us with their homes, the designers who invite us into their projects, the partners who work alongside us, and the team members who continue to carry our standards forward. Our family has spent generations helping create spaces for other families.
